An Alluring New Collection of CAs at OCEAN Independence
Sold Amevi Surprise and 6 new CAs for Sale and 3 for Charter

OCI started the year with the sale of a distinctive motor yacht; the revamped 56.4m Halter Marine support vessel Amevi Surprise, brokered for the buyer by OCI’s UK based New Build director Peter Thompson, she was built in 1981 and completely overhauled to ABS class at Quality Shipyards in 2004.

The OCI CA fleets continue to develop with the addition of 6 new CAs for sale and 3 for Charter.

New for sale are: Two new build projects with Zürich based Managing Partner Peter Hürzeler; the first from the award winning ROSSI NAVI shipyard that brought us SOUTH is a 54m scheduled for delivery in 2011. She will be built in Viareggio featuring 6 guest cabins for 12 guests. The second, also scheduled for delivery in 2011, is a 49m motor yacht from the legendary JONGERT yard. This 4900 model is a substantial yet sleek new motor yacht by the Dutch master builders and sleeps 10 guests in 5 cabins.

Then with UK based New Build Director Peter Thompson is the brand new Horizon 130, After You, in joint CA. This stunning, Florida based, 39.6m tri deck, delivered in 2008, has a high volume interior and sleeps 12 guests in 6 cabins. And with Marc Haendle at OCI Palma the 35m Heliyachts ketch, Galatea, built in 1998 and refitted in 2006, this safe and steady steel-hulled cruiser sleeps 6 guests in 3 cabins and is now also available for charter with OCI. Also with Marc Haendle is the 25.8m, Atlantic 25 Bar.Co, an extremely seaworthy steel vessel with a transatlantic range delivered by Geta Genel Tasarin from Tuzla Turkey in 1991 and refitted 2007 she sleeps 7 guests in 4 cabins.

And finally, also with Peter Hürzeler, is the stylish 22.68m Ferretti 731 IN EXILE, delivered in 2008 with a walk-around fly bridge she can cruise effortlessly at 30 knots and sleeps 8 guests in 4 cabins.

New for charter are: Three diverse yachts with Düsseldorf based Charter Director Adelheid Chirco starting with ARETHUSA (also for sale with OCI), delivered in 2008 she is the third hull from the now well established Nereids Yachts. At 47m, she sleeps 10 guests in 5 cabins in her chic, minimalist interiors and has full MCA commercial certification. Arethusa will be cruising the western Mediterranean for the 2009 season.

Then the 35m Heliyachts ketch, Galatea, built in 1998 and refitted in 2006, this steady and comfortable cruiser sleeps 6 guests in 3 cabins and is the only luxury sailing yacht that can legally pick up and drop off charters in Croatian waters. And lastly the exciting and sporty 30.2m Bruce Farr designed Southern Wind MRS SEVEN, the seventh hull in the yard’s SW100 mini-series she features a raised salon and sleeps 8 guests in 4 cabins in her comfortable and elegant interior.

In event news, you can visit OCI at stand C1-8 in the Luxury Supplies and Services at the Dubai International Boat Show from 3rd-7th March and also visit a selection of OCI yachts, including the elegant 35m Benetti IF, at the Antibes Yacht Show from 2nd-5th April.
