10th International "SOA Web Services Edge 2006 Conference & Expo" panel discussion taped live at SYS-CON.TV's Times Square studios will stream on Monday, December 5, 2005, and "Enterprise Open Source Power Panel" will stream on Wednesday, December 7, 2005.

In this first "SOA and Web Services Power Panel" series, SYS-CON's group publisher and  "SOA Web Services Edge" conference chair Jeremy Geelan was joined by Eric Newcomer of IONA, Paul Lipton of CA, Aaron White of Mindreef and David Kershaw of Altova. "Enterprise Open Source Power Panel" participants included Andy Astor of EnterprsieDB, Shaun Connolly of JBoss, Yakov Fain of JDJ, and Eric Newcomer of IONA.

Ideal candidates are i-Technology experts who have first-hand experience in the development and/or implementation of Web services, .NET, MX, or Java applications, XML-based technologies, and service-oriented architectures in general. .NET and Java developers involved in building, deploying, or maintaining Web services and IT/IS management involved in IT integration and related issues are also welcome.

If you have something substantive, challenging, and original to offer, you are encouraged to submit a proposal. In the proposal, please highlight previous speaking engagements including classroom or course work. Please provide at least three references with respect to speaking ability, as well as contact information that will allow us to reach you to evaluate presentation skills. Past speakers do not need to provide references.

Guidelines for Submitting a Proposal

  • All submissions become the property of SYS-CON Events.
  • All conference sessions are vendor-neutral. Proprietary or confidential
          material should not be included.
  • Submit your proposal by December 17, 2005.
  • SYS-CON will notify potential candidates beginning January 2006.
  • Draft materials for presenters are due by January 15, 2006. (Do not send materials
          prior to notification of acceptance, unless requested.)
  • Final materials from presenters are due by January 30, 2006.
  • All sessions are open to registered conference attendees only. SOA Web Services
          Edge is acknowledged to be the industry's most relevant conference program 
          addressing the challenges and technology needs of today's business environment.
