CTO Forum Announces CTO Institute in Partnership with Stanford University

The CTO Forum and its two special workgroups, The CIO Council and The Energy Council, today announced the formation of the CTO Institute, the first of its kind. The CTO Forum, Inc. has forged a partnership with Stanford University’s industry interactive technology research network (MediaX) to create this ground-breaking CTO Institute. The CTO Institute will expand the breadth of the existing programs offered at Stanford University in Wallenberg Hall. Starting in September 2009, The CTO Forum and MediaX at Stanford University will be offering exciting CTO and CIO leadership courses providing a foundation to strengthen executive skills in the areas of Innovation, Research & Development, Emerging Science & Technology and Business Growth in general.

“CTO Forum Board and members have driven the formation of the CTO Institute to provide unparallel opportunities for current and future generations of technology and innovation leaders. Stanford University is an ideal partner to host the CTO Institute at the Wallenberg Hall which can provide access to invaluable resources facilitating a shared vision for learning. The CTO Institute sessions will enable leaders to connect, synergize their intellects, uncover what's new and emerging, imagine what's possible, and return to their organization to create and manage the next generation of technology products and services,” said Basheer Janjua, Founding-Chair and President of the CTO Forum.

“MediaX is pleased to partner with the CTO Forum on the CTO Institute and extends MediaX sponsored programs, research and insights to CTO members. Innovation practices are more dynamic than ever as global collaboration, social networking, and new media forms evolve,” said Charles House, Executive Director of MediaX at Stanford University.
