Software Greatly Enhances JPEG Image Quality

Topaz Labs releases Topaz DeJPEG 3.0 for Mac and Windows. Topaz DeJPEG v3.0 helps improve the quality of images by reversing the artifact damage caused by JPEG compression while still retaining image detail.

“Generally, it is difficult to reduce JPEG compression artifacts, which appear in images as blockiness, noise and color variation without losing image quality. However, Topaz DeJPEG’s trademark algorithms help users successfully recover over-compressed images without losing image detail,” said Albert Yang, President of Topaz Labs. Topaz DeJPEG’s ability to virtually eliminate all JPEG artifacts makes it one of the most often-used operations in the image improvement and enhancement process.

Topaz DeJPEG 3 features extensive artifact reduction tools, rapid processing speeds, noise suppression tools, detail preservation, and multiple color channels. The new color channel feature displays color artifacts allowing for better overall artifact reduction and image enhancement. Topaz DeJPEG 3 also features a new interface, a preview navigator, advanced user options and an auto-brightening preview option.

DeJPEG 3.0 retails for $29.99 and is compatible with both Windows and Intel-based Mac OSX. DeJPEG will also be available in the $139.99 Topaz bundle, which currently includes: Adjust, DeNoise, Simplify, and Clean 2 at no extra charge. For product specifications, visit the Topaz DeJPEG webpage: http://www.topazlabs.com/dejpeg.
